Bobby and Katie visit Tucson

The opposite of Vermont??  We were anxious to see what Katie and Bobby would think of our new home coming from very wet and very green Vermont.  We think they had a good time.  Here are a few things we saw and did.

Getting ready to play the North course

Looks like they are enjoying the sun.

Pretty good form for a beginner.

He hit this a mile.

It's out there somewhere.

Big Bob and Biggest Bob

At the Desert Museum posed in front of an Ocotillo

This guy made Bobby duck while landing very close by.

Back in Tucson

After spending most of the summer in the heat of the southwest, we headed north in late August.  We visited Kit and Jess in Boulder and then headed back to our home in Breckenridge.  It was so nice to see our old friends and be back on familiar territory for a month.  Then we headed to VT to help Katie and Bobby celebrate their birthdays in early October.  We also visited Susie and Tetsu's new home in Newton where we explored all the streets and hangouts near BC--a beautiful area.  Here are some photos of our trip.

What a great pose!!

Rocky Mountain National Park from Trail Ridge Road

We took Beckett and Kelan to the park.

What cuties!

Kelan is such a good helper.

Ready to take off.

Beckett is the first one down.

Bobby and Katie, each one year older, in their beloved Vermont.

What a great view from the Stowe golf course.

Museum visits

We have seen some unique displays at museums recently.  Here are some examples  of  human imagination.

This exhibit is at the MFA in Boston until August.

This is 25 feet long!!!

This occupies a whole room

The lady was not part of the display but she is pretty cute too.

Now we are at the Botanical Gardens in Tucson to observe Nature's imagination.

Cactus are just as varied as Chihuly glass sculptures.

How varied and funny is the desert!!
