Saturday Field Trip

This is kind of mean for all you folks buried in snow, but here is what we did yesterday.

Trip to Washington

While Bob sat in meetings with people from the Dept of Education, I toured the city.  Here are some shots of the National Gallery, the Capitol while the health care debates were continuing, and the White House when the President of China was arriving.  It was cold and bitter there but exciting to see.

Sad news in Tucson

We are very sad about the tragedy that has occurred here in Tucson. We were returning from touring Tucson's downtown area when we were detoured off the Ina and Oracle intersection. We could not understand why two such busy roads were closed on a busy Saturday afternoon. We later learned about this terrible event. We will keep you posted if anything new comes up but so far it seems like the action of a lone, mentally disturbed gunman.
