Family Reunion 2016

We managed to gather all 15 of us in a house in Maine for a week in August.
It had been 8 years since we had all been together at the same time and place.  We had no idea what to expect!!
It was busy
It was musical

It was messy.

It was time to bond.

To be creative together
To be silly together

To hang out together
To share some laughs

It was full of love.

The perfect birthday present for us.   Thanks again to our amazing family.

June Getaway

While the temperatures soared in Marana, we were comfortable at our little retreat in Arrowhead, Colorado.  We have rented there for three Junes now and enjoy it more each year.  With hiking, golfing, exploring and connecting with family and friends, we think we have found the perfect vacation.

We took our time getting there, exploring Canyon de Chelly along the way.

The ancient Navajo ruins were amazing.
Arches National Park in Moab Utah.

We stopped again in Moab, Utah, finally arriving at Redlands Mesa, a course we love in Grand Junction.

Vail had a Go Pro event happening our first weekend.
Athletic prowess was abundant!!

She did the splits on a slackline over white water rapids!!

Stand up paddle boarding on the Gore River.

Our most lovely day included hiking and dining in Beaver Creek and then the Opening Night Concert of Bravo featuring Joshua Bell.

Then the Connolly boys joined us for our first Grandparent Adventure Camp which featured paddle boating, gondola riding, hiking, golfing, swimming and finally.....

.....horseback riding at 4 Eagle Ranch!!

We were so sad for the trip to end, but had a double rainbow on the way home to console us.

Holiday Fun with Grandkids

It is January 20 and it feels like we have been partying for a month with grandkids.  We left for New England on December 16 where the fun started in Vermont.

First we got to play with Charlotte who just turned 9 months old and is seriously into crawling.

Then we got to show Bridgette what we had been doing in Tucson.

A tea party with the twins!!

Then a family ski day at Stowe.

We moved on to Newton, MA to celebrate Xmas with the Inadas.

Mia is getting ready for Santa.

She is so lucky to have Gus to read to her now.

It was such a beautiful day.

We headed back to Tucson for a rest and then moved on to Boulder.
Millie Grace had grown from a small puppy to a big one!!

Beckett had grown into a serious Lego master.

Believe it or not, he was not feeling well today.

Kelan has been into Legos for some time and also is a great reader.

Sue reflected on  the nice tea parties in Vermont after a day of dinosaurs with these two.
