Gus's Trip to Tucson

The first of our family arrived in Tucson to share their Spring Break with us.
Here are the highlights.

Gus arrived just in time for the blooming of the desert.

These are some cacti we saw at the Desert Museum.

Escaping the heat.

Back home with some special blocks from Uncle Bobby.
Gus really liked hanging out on our back patio.

Here we are watching the giraffe at the Reid Park Zoo.

The best part though was the train ride!!

Gus drove the golf cart all around the North 9 after a visit to the pool.

The Easter Bunny showed up at the end of the trip!!

Spring in the Desert

Everyone seems to love Spring, even the desert.  Here are some sights from our neighborhood.

And this little guy too.  He is a gopher snake -- good for eating rodents.  We saw a rattler today, so we are going to have to cope with some new problems.  We had no insects or snakes in Breckenridge.

Recent Happenings

We left sunny warm Tucson last week to visit cold rainy Boston.  Only family could take us away from here.  We had so much fun playing with Gus and catching up with our kids.  Here are a few pictures from our trip.

Snow in Tucson??

Here is what we woke up to this morning.  We thought we were back in Breckenridge.
They had to wait until the snow melted to finish the Accenture Tournament won by Luke Donald. Maggie and Roy Hoff said they have not seen snow in Tucson for the ten years they have lived here

Playing with Patrick and Frances

Patrick and Frances McWilliams joined us for a week to play golf and attend the Accenture Match Play Tournament held down the street at the Ritz Carlton course.  They are as fanatic about golf as we are.

Patrick and Frances observing Sue's technique.

Frances improving on Sue's technique!!

Bob is getting really good!!

Frances spotting Steve Stricker.

Ah Steve.

Frances got his autograph.

Sue spotting Tiger.

Ah Tiger.

No chance of  getting Tiger's autograph, but pretty close

Frances and Patrick, thank you for hanging out with us.

Visit to Boulder

We have been busy lately with lots of fun activities.  Sue got to visit Kelan and Beckett over a long weekend.  It is a quick and cheap flight to Boulder from Tucson, so she intends to visit often!!

Kelan is in to being two!!!  He does the opposite of everything you ask, and kept Sue on the run.

He talks a lot now and knows the alphabet.  He will start nursery school in September.

What a cutie!!  He skipped walking and went right to running!!

Very spiffy dresser!!

Sue got to hang out with nanny Shauna to check out her techniques for managing two.  She is just great with them.  Kit thanked her for taking care of all three of us.
